Are you a Carrie? Miranda? Samantha? or Charlotte?

You've probably had this debate with your girlfriends or while binge-watching in your favorite sweatpants while eating chocolate cake. If you answered 'E', all for all of the above then welcome to your favorite new TV Show.

'The Bold Type' features three women who work (and kick some major ass) in New York City for the top fashion magazine, Scarlette. The show is inspired by editor in chief of Cosmopolitan magazine, Joanna Coles. Jane Sloan (the writer), Kat Edison (social media guru) and Sutton Brady (the fashionista underdog) are shown facing drama both within the office and outside.

Like Sex and City, every episode is full of relatable storylines with a tad of unachievable glitz and glam ( I mean hello, they are working for a fashion magazine). Yes, there is a 'Big' type character, a love triangle, thousands of shots done throughout the city, and a protagonist writer that sometimes writes about her sex life. But let me stop you right there...

The 'Bold Type' is more than three women and their sexcapades around New York City. .What makes the 'Bold Type' unique is the plotline. The show talks about relevant issues including immigration, breast cancer awareness, and sexism within the workplace.

For far too long, women have been incorrectly depicted in the media. We have to thank shows, such as Sex and the City, for paving way for these TV shows that finally depict woman how they really are: bosses (both at work and within the bedroom). So grab your sweatpants and laptop; it's time to start binge-watching the new and improved version of 'Sex and the City'.
